With hits like "You've Got A Friend," "Fire and Rain" and "Handy Man," James Taylor is one of the most memorable singer-songwriters of our time. On Sunday, June 4 at 3:00, Dr. Mike Daley presents The James Taylor Story. Joined by Jill Daley on piano and violin, Will Reid on vocals and Greg Wyard on bass and vocals, Dr. Mike performs several of James Taylor's hit songs in an 'unplugged' format. You'll learn about the fascinating life of James Taylor, from his privileged New England upbringing to his addiction struggles and triumphant recovery. The latest in a successful monthly series that has included lecture-concerts on Simon and Garfunkel, Carole King, the Beatles and the Everly Brothers, The James Taylor Story is a must-see for any music fan.

Dr. Mike Daley is a musician and music historian known across the GTA for his highly entertaining and informative talks on popular music. Jill Daley is a full-time musician at Canada's National Ballet School and, like Mike, is part of the music staff at Redeemer. Will Reid is a dynamic and versatile young singer who has worked with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale and other prominent choirs. Greg Wyard is an accomplished bassist and songwriter who also happens to be Toronto's preeminent pub musician.

Church of the Redeemer is a spacious and comfortable (cushioned chairs, not pews)1879 church with excellent sightlines and acoustics. It is conveniently located in Yorkville, close to Bay and Museum subway stations, ample parking and fine restaurants.
