Footsteps of Bethune is a contemporary take on the life and influence of Dr. Norman Bethune more than 80 years after his death in China. The documentary follows Canadian doctors to China where they offer community clinics, perform surgery and train local doctors in rural areas of the country. The film reveals, that even as time has passed, the spirit of Dr. Norman Bethune continues to serve as a bridge between Canada and China, particularly in the field of medicine.
