On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 7 pm, GDC Okanagan will be hosting a new Drink & Draw with our guest Marga Lopez CGD.

Marga was Mexico City and obtained a B.F.A in Graphic Design from the InterContinental University, with a focus on branding and corporate identity.

With more than 20 years of national and international design experience with both global industry leaders and start-up companies, Marga’s extensive experience in both the corporate and consumer arenas has allowed her to create brands for such clients as Danone, Procter and Gamble, Grupo Modelo (Corona Beer), Cemex, Sony, Geo, American Express, Grupo Bachoco, ICBC, BC Hydro, Vancity, Fincentric, BC Transplant and BC Housing.

She has gained experience working at prestigious design firms in Mexico such as Signi, Milenio 3, and Landor Associates, for Canadian design firms as Evolutionary Imaging, Ideastream Design and Bare Advertising & Communications, and for in-house teams at Indochino Apparel and Vancouver Aquarium.

She is a CGD Certified Member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, where she volunteered as National VP Membership, President of the BC Mainland Chapter, Co-Chair of Icograda Design Week 2010 and Graphex 2010. She currently volunteers as Partnerships Coordinator to CreativeMornings Vancouver.

GDC Okanagan is a small committee that is a part of the Graphic Designers of Canada GDC BC Chapter.

1. Register on Eventbrite. We’ll send you the links that you need to join us 24 hours before the event.

2. Make sure you have a device with internet access, paper, drawing utensils, a mouse (clickable), trackpad or stylus, and a bevvie of your choice.

3. We are using Zoom so we can see each other and Miro so we can share our drawings. Access to our Miro board will be given prior to the event.

This event is open to all designers. Must be legal drinking age.

Tickets for this RSVP event are required to get an accurate number of attendees and to be granted access to the virtual whiteboard.
