Event description

Description

Join us at this FREE exciting event, at the Medicine Hat College, where we will help you understand the environmental and economic benefits of electric transportation.

We will share unbiased and factual information about electric cars and find out why drivers are making the transition from a gasoline/diesel car to an electric car.

Come and learn how electric car charging works as well as websites and apps that help drivers find public charging stations along routes in order to enable long distance travel in an electric vehicle.

We will hear from an EV driver and why he made the switch to an electric vehicle.

This is a great opportunity for you to ask your questions about this growing and emerging market. We will guide you through government funding incentives for a personal EV purchase or business fleet vehicles.

Finally, you will have a chance to visit Medicine Hat's newest vehicle charging station and learn how eco-friendly fueling stations being installed across our region are helping encourage tourism in our city!

There will be a free lunch served at 12 pm - 1 pm.

After lunch, you will have a chance to take a tour to see two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, as well as electric vehicles that we will have on site.

We are also currently exploring your chance to test drive an electric vehicle. If you wanted a chance to test drive an electric vehicle on that day, please send an email to Elizabeth Blair EBlair@albertacf.com. Test drive opportunities are still being negotiated, so final and complete details will be revealed on the day of our event.

If you have any questions about this event, please call Elizabeth Blair at 403-528-2824
