Description
DRONE FAIR 2016 is the first event of its kind in Western Canada. We are excited to bring together vendors, innovators, professional pilots and enthusiasts for an event that will entice, educate and elevate drone technology.
Our purpose is to educate the growing market of recreational and commercial drone operators while celebrating the various industries who have incorporated this technology into their current practices.

UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE
Teams from Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology will compete in a contest that rely on problem solving, design and flight to determine a $2,500 scholarship for the winner, donated by Flying Cameras.
DRONE FAIR GRAND PRIX
Pilots Start Your Engines! Teaming up with Never Hover FPV Racing, Drone Fair Grand Prix will be showcasing all FPV racing has to offer. Featuring some of British Columbia’s best racers who will be competing for the revered title of ‘Champion of Drone Fair’.

FLYZONES
Drone Fair 2016 offers 3 interactive Fly Zone areas where visitors will have the chance to experience flying a drone. Each Fly Zone will have a professional trainer to teach new pilots about throttle, yaw and pitch. Each pilot will have the chance to learn about takeoff and landing, hovering and hopping in an enclosed environment.
