Event description

Description

DRUGIQ Synthetic Opioid Risk Based Response Workshop

Join us for a day of learning focused on the emergence of synthetic opioids and their dramatic impact on public safety. These toxic and readily available drugs pose a unique risk to the user, first responders and the public at large. DrugIQ is an educational workshop given by ex hazmat professionals that will help define this new and emerging problem, recommend response guidelines and include interactive hands-on learning opportunities.

Based on the level of risk assessment, participants will learn to implement four levels of risk based response guidelines that provide responders and investigators with specific guidance on resources required, PPE selection, safety considerations, tactical considerations, and decontamination for responders, victims, and suspects.
