In this hands on workshop, participants will experience the power of Drum and Song Circles led by expert facilitators.

About the Facilitators:


Henry V. Bishop - Drum Circle (Authentic Djembe drums provided)

Artist, Musician, Educator and Youth Advocate

Henry Bishop is a versatile artist and educator with a passion for African Drumming. His main focus in life is to create better understanding and ensuring higher respect for all people, using inter-cultural learning experiences such as drum circles. Among his many honours and accomplishments, Dr. Bishop believes his greatest gift is teaching the healing power of African Drumming.

Kevin Parks - Song Circle

AST University Musician and Minister of Music at Saint Andrew's United Church in Halifax

Kevin is a diversely talented musician with a passion to engage people in teh Gospel through a well selected text and tune; to encourage everyone to "make a joyful noise" regardless of perceived ability and experience


All sessions are Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Singing Sessions: September 23rd, October 7th, October 28th and November 18th

Drum Sessions: September 30th, October 21st, November 4th and November 25th
