DSAH Fit Dance for Teens & Adults with Down Syndrome
Sun, 9 April 2017, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM EDT
The Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton is happy to present a pilot 4 session program designed exclusively for teens and adults with Down syndrome -FIT DANCE! We are excited to welcome Angelica Acosta to our Association to promote exercise, movement, fitness and fun among our members. Angelica is a Wellness Coach and has run a similar program with Community Living in Milton, Ontario.
Angelica brings to DSAH this fantastic program, a combination of Latin dance and exercise, and a philosophy that embraces the fact that each person is unique. Through dance and exercise, this class allows each students to discover their own strengths while enjoying a bit of music and the exploration of movement. Each student takes the classes at their own pace. This is a program for anyone interested in music, movement & fun - no previous experience is required.
This program will be run from our DSAH office and we have 15 spots available for participants in the office. You can access the classes via webconferencing from the comfort of your home as well.
