This September, come home to DC!

Calling all members of the Durham College (DC) family! DC wants you to join the party as we continue our 50th anniversary celebration with Homecoming Weekend this September.

Friday, September 8

Noon to 3 p.m., Bus loop

Colleges Ontario Amazing 50 mobile exhibit

  • Pizza party
  • Live music

4 to 6 p.m., Student Services Building (SSB) 116AB

Guest speaker: Steve Paikin

  • Anchor of The Agenda
  • Author of Bill Davis: Nation Builder, and Not So Bland After All!

6 to 11 p.m., Gym 1 & 2

Athletics Hall of Fame Induction (Purchase tickets directly from Durham Lords - available until Sept. 1)

  • Guest speaker
  • Ceremony and dinner

8 to 11 p.m., SSB courtyard

Movie on the lawn

  • Double feature movies to be announced

9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Baseball diamond and Gym 1 & 2

Varsity vs alumni games (Visit the Durham Lords website for the game schedule and to register and participate)

Family Day

  • BBQ and food trucks

Do I need to be a DC student to attend the weekend festivities?

No, we welcome all members of the community to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary! However, advanced registration is highly recommended.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There is a minimum age requirement (19+) for Party through the Decades.

Please bring government-issued photo ID to enter the Party through the Decades event on Saturday evening. Durham College student IDs may be checked for student ticket pricing.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking will be available at Oshawa campus. As parking is limited, we encourage guests to take public transit.

I'm visiting from out of town. What hotels do you recommend?

Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Oshawa
Group rate: $115 (rate based on availability)

Quality Suites, Whitby
Group rate: $79 double bed / $89 king bed (rates based on availability)
