About the Instructor: Doris Hagmann studied architecture then, as she worked in that profession in Switzerland and Scandinavia for over 25 years, she completed a program in natural wool dyeing under Erna Bächi-Nussbaumer and began developing knowledge and skills in this area. In 1992 she moved with her family to a farm in Summerville, Hants County then opened and operated the acclaimed Avon Emporium and Shipwright Inn until 2014. Doris lives on her farm where she keeps sheep. She has resumed environmentally friendly, sustainable wool dying along with spinning, knitting, and weaving.
