In order to be a seen as a highly sought after and respected engineer, it’s not only important for you to have the best education, experience and technical know-how, but you also need to have excellent presentation skills as well. When you master the art of delivering dynamic presentations, you can captivate, influence and persuade audiences of any size or knowledge level that you speak to.

During this highly informative session, you will learn techniques on how to capture and hold your audience’s attention throughout your presentation. You will acquire strategies for building your confidence and calming your nerves. You will also discover powerful techniques that you can incorporate into your next presentation to make it engaging, informative and exciting for everyone in attendance.

Guest Speaker

Laura Connor, founder of Connor Speaks, is an engaging presentation skills consultant and speech coach. She helps technical professionals and entrepreneurs expand their influence by mastering the art of crafting powerful presentations to become confident, persuasive speakers. Some of her clients include CPAC (Canadian Cross-Cultural Association of Canada), PEO York Chapter, and the York Catholic District School Board. She is also the 2017-18 President of Markham Toastmasters Club #4782 in Markham, Ontario.

Laura is a graduate Seneca College’s International Business Program. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years, honing her public speaking expertise by working in industries such as casino and real estate. She has also owned several businesses in marketing, direct sales and advertising specialties. She draws on her years of diverse career experiences to deliver customized learning opportunities packed with practical, easy to implement strategies that enable her audiences to fast track their public speaking skills to success.
