About this event
In this virtual workshop we are inviting Black youth ages 11-29 to talk about their challenges with school, mental health, and racism in a safe space through group discussion and art (spoken word).
The event will include local poets and speaker to touch on topics pertaining to young people during these uncertain times. New challenges still arise as we witness exacerbated mental health, rasicm and discrimnation on Black youth and young adults and the compassion fatigue caregivers experience during this time.
Through these artistic panels, we will explore new ways of dealing with emotions, social pressures through the use of music and art. It is a safe space and an accepting place for youth and young adults to come and learn.
