Event description

Description

Volunteer MBC, the volunteer centre for Peel, promotes meaningful volunteerism and fosters best practices through learning and development. Our frontline service is matching people in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon with volunteer opportunities. We also provide backbone supports for community service organizations.

We recently conducted research into the interest of early adolescents (youth ages 12-14) in volunteering. In this session, we want to share our findings with you, and work on how community programs can support the effort of engaging this underserved age group in volunteerism.

There will be sharing from people doing exciting community work in areas of research, volunteer engagement, program design, program delivery and education.

It's an interactive session, held at no cost to you, and lunch will be provided. Your participation and input will make it a great experience for all!
