Earth Day Tree Planting-Ward 7 Richard Jones Park

Join the Association for Canadian Educational Resources (ACER) and the City of Mississauga in celebrating One Million Trees Mississauga at this year's annual tree planting event as part of Earth Days. This year we are also celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by planting 150 trees at Richard Jones Park and 10 other City parks on April 22nd.
Please note, you are registering for the event at Richard Jones Park in Ward 7. If you would like to register for a different location, visit our organizer page to find links to the other 10 planting events.
Gather your friends and family on Saturday April 22, 2017 at Richard Jones Park for a morning of tree planting. The event will go rain or shine. Please dress appropriately (you will get dirty!). Closed toed shoes are required to participate in the event.
Schedule of Events
9:30am - Registration
10:00am - Opening remarks followed by tree planting
Group registration is limited to 10 people. A waiver form will be emailed to all participants in advance. Please bring a signed copy for each person participating on the date of the event. Refreshments will be provided; please bring your own travel mug or cup. Gloves and tools will be available but bring your own if you have them.
In order for us to ensure we bring the right amount of tools, please add one ticket per family member including children.
Parking instructions: Follow Given Rd all towards the dead end and park on Given Road. Meet staff at park entrance off of Given Road, shown with yellow star on map. Follow trail through woodlot to planting area outlined in yellow.
