Quartermain Earth Science Café DAYTIME!: Celebrating 50 Years of Apollo

The QESC launches celebrations of the Apollo missions on July 13th, 2019! The historic Apollo lunar landing on July 20, 1969 paved the way for future space exploration and opened the door to boundless curiosity and discovery. Drop in to experience the legacy of the first lunar landing and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing at the Quartermain Museum with fun activities and interactive presentation!!

Location: Quartermain Earth Science Centre

Time: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Activities include:

  • PASSC Demonstration Tables with lunar and Apollo memorabilia
  • Science East Planetarium shows
  • UNB Physics Observatory Tours
  • Phases of the Moon
  • How a Telescope Works
  • Spectroscopy in Astronomy
  • Build your own Lunar Module

Interactive Presentation with Maree McGregor, PASSC Planetary Geologist: 2:00 pm

Presentation Title: Celebrating 50 Years of Apollo
