This month's spotlight focused on PETER WHITE.
From his humble start in Nova Scotia, PETER WHITE has gone on to perform comedy all over the world, and is in high demand for festivals and television appearances. His most recent appearance at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival went viral with over 22 million views online, and was turned into a meme shared by millions more. In North America he can be seen in his own one hour Comedy Now special on CTV and the Comedy Network, as well as on CBC from his many appearances at the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and in the A&E movie presentation Bag of Bones, starring Pierce Brosnan. In the UK he can be seen in two episodes of Live at The Comedy Store on Comedy Central. He has appeared at the prestigious Just For Laugh's Comedy Festival, and countless times on CBC and XM Radio. He has performed in over 25 different countries, including performing for the British Military in the middle east. For several years, Peter was a writer for the Gemini Award Winning 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes', where he was nominated for both a Writer's Guild of Canada Award and a Canadian Comedy Award.
Hosted by SHAWN HOGAN:
Originating from Mill River, P.E.I., Shawn Hogan has spent the last 10 years performing and living in Toronto, where he created, produced, and hosted one of Toronto’s most successful & unique comedy shows (The Hangover Cure Comedy Show), which made its Just For Laughs Festival debut in 2019.
Over the last few years you may have heard him on CBC Radio’s “Laugh Out Loud”, a Just For Laughs Originals recording on Spotify, a featured performer on one of two nationally aired episodes of the Halifax Comedy Festival on CBC, or more recently opening for Gerry Dee to a sold out audience at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
