Workshops emphasize a hands-on approach to learning. Build something cool or learn how to use a new piece of technology in an informative and engaging 30 - 60 minute session! Whether you’re a novice or experienced tinkerer, our workshops will expand your knowledge about what work in the ECE industry looks like.

The following workshops are available:

Tuesday, Jan 24 @ 5pm

  • Web APIs: Gluing the Modern Web Together by Ben Zittlau from Jobber at ETLC ATCO Design Lab.
  • PCB Etching by Carson Dick from SPIE Student Club at NREF 2-003.
  • Presentation by TBA from GE at COLT Design Lab.

Wednesday, Jan 25 @ 5pm

  • Making a Data-Visualization by TBA from Dark Horse Analytics at ETLC ATCO Design Lab.
  • DIY Electronic Parts and Sensors by Carson Dick from SPIE Student Club at ETLC COLT Design Lab.
  • BINARY (Biology, Information Science and Nanotechnology Applications and Research laboratorY) Lab Tour by Dr. Jie Chen and Scott MacKay from the ECE Department. *Meet at ECERF entrance as a group before heading up to the lab.
