Ecofeminism Lunch & Learn
Event Information
Event description
Join PEA and Dr. David Phillips for a virtual talk on ecofeminism, its environmentalist roots, and its relevance to today's environment
About this Event
Ecofeminism and Feminist Political Ecology are approaches to seeing the world that call out contemporary practices which exploit the environment.
They provide an avenue to questioning practices and policies that devalue our relationship with the environment while reinforcing power structures that also subordinate and oppress women and minorities. Equally importantly, they provide strategies for grassroots movements developing the potential to be socially and environmentally transformative.
Join us for an interactive webinar explaining what Eco-Feminism means and how we can channel some of these ideas into modern environmental activism.
