About this Event

**USASK STUDENTS ONLY**

Find out more at usask.ca/ecohack!

EcoHack will be a two-day event bringing together students across campus to solve locally sourced environmental/sustainability related problems in a rapid-design focused, collaborative setting. The timeline of this event is as follows:

FRIDAY- Community partners will have two minutes to pitch an open ended “challenge” to participants, who will then choose which challenge they want to work on for the next day, before networking with peers and professionals. (ex: Saskatoonians still fill their blue bins with plastic bags, even though we can’t recycle them)

SATURDAY- Participants will choose a challenge, and work in teams to analyze their chosen issue, come up with a novel, innovative solution to this problem, and work to develop a prototype (of any kind, depending on the solution). Groups will then develop a persuasive presentation outlining their solution and will have 5 minutes or less to showcase their innovations to an audience of community and industry partners and judges, peers, and the public.

NOTE: Solutions may be communications- based, software, mechanical, improved processes, marketing, an app, etc.
