Event description

Description

The surgical management of breast cancer is a fast-evolving field - Procedures, techniques and multidisciplinary decision-making has changed dramatically in the past 20 years.

A gradual move towards surgical de-escalation has resulted in increasingly challenging questions regarding optimal treatment strategies leading to a fine balance between over-aggressive treatment and undertreatment.

This meeting is aimed mainly at breast surgeons and general surgeons, but would be relevant to all clinicians with a breast cancer practice. It will serve as an update meeting discussing controversies and recent developments in breast surgical oncology.

Invited faculty will include:

Dr Dick Rainsbury, Past President of the UK Association of Breast Surgery, Consultant Oncoplastic & Reconstructive Breast Surgeon, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, UK

Dr Angel Arnaout, Breast Surgical Oncologist at the Ottawa Hospital, Clinical Investigator at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, and Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa
