Edmonton Christian High School Alumni evening- Remember My Name
Thu, 16 March 2017, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Do you remember high school drama? NO, we don't mean the kind of drama that had people crying by their lockers... We mean an actual high school drama production. There is one happening again this year and you are invited. But wait it gets better. It's free and there will be other ECHS grads (and teachers) there whom you can reminisce with at the wine and cheese reception afterwards (also free!).
If you were part of the Edmonton Christian High School graduating classes of 1995 to 2012, you and your spouse/significant other are invited by the Edmonton Society for Christian Education to the High School performance of Remember My Name on Thursday, March 16 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. It will be dramatic!
There is a limit of 200 tickets so register today.
This is an adult only event and your free tickets (maximum 2) must be reserved online here at Eventbrite.
Please call Fred at 780-408-7933 if you have any questions.
See you there!
Remember My Name by Joanna Halpert Krause: This prize winning drama tells of a young girl's survival in wartime France and the courage of the those who protect her from the Nazi holocaust. Apart from her parents, her heritage, and her name, the young Jewish girl matures from a sheltered child to a determined adolescent who fights for her country and her life. She is befriended by a priest, a widow, and a teacher who is a member of the underground resistance. A Nazi lieutenant nearly catches the girl and her brave protectors. Inspired by historical accounts, this work by a popular author of plays for youthful audiences won first prize in the IUPUT National Playwriting Competition.
