Event description

Description

Edmonton has embarked on many exciting new renewable energy initiatives. With new requirements that all city projects must spend a minimum of 1% of their budget on renewables, and plans to supply all of the City’s building with renewable electricity, Edmonton is leading by example. Come hear about Edmonton’s own solar grant program. Also, new solar system financing options are emerging. When will the game-changing Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) bonds be available? To top all of that Edmonton has a growing list of large solar
heated and solar electrified buildings.

Presenters

  • Andrea Linsky, The City of Edmonton's Energy Transition Strategy
  • Jenny Hong, Edmonton's 1% for RE, green power purchase, and other cool city projects
  • Robyn Webb, Edmonton's plans for Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) ACE and the Change Homes for Climate program
