Compassion: The Crucial Ingredient for Revitalization

The story of the Good Samaritan is one of great compassion. He saw one in need and met that need when others had passed by. However, all too often we fail to live up to this ideal in healthcare. In busy and pressured environments it is easy to miss the needs of those around us. As a result, our workspaces become increasingly dehumanized. So, how do we build compassionate spaces? How can we make healthcare a vital space where providers and patients alike feel cared for and supported? In this workshop, participants will explore how to build capacity for compassion in ourselves, organizations, and communities.
