Event description
Transforming Together 5th Annual EDPG Symposium

About this event

For leaders of organizations, senior leaders, leaders of volunteers and board members, the EDPG Symposium 2022 is the perfect venue that offers expertise and engagement.

The fifth annual EDPG Symposium is happening virtually on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

The Community Benefit Sector Survey: One Year Later findings remain clear; a convergence of issues as a result of COVID19. More need, less revenue, decrease in volunteerism. Feedback indicated an appetite for opportunities around re-imaging, re-designing, re-visioning, partnerships and collaborations.

What is ahead for the sector and how can we use our leadership to transform together.

Speaker: Bruce MacDonald is the President & CEO of Imagine Canada. When carnivals and social good combined, it pointed to a path and for 30 years Bruce has been walking that route. From working for organizations that provide services to young people, older adults, persons with disabilities, community service clubs and sports and recreation groups, Bruce's experiences have lead him to Imagine Canada.

Facilitator: Dr. Rebecca Sutherns is an insightful and high energy collaborative strategist and world class facilitator who has served as a trusted advisor to hundreds of mission-driven organizations. Rebecca brings intellect, enthusiasm and varied experience in strategy development and collaborative leadership when speaking, writing and mentoring. She is a skilled communicator, with a particular gift for helping leaders make wiser decisions faster. Learn more at rebeccasutherns.com.

Presenter: Kris Cummings, Principal at DO/ABLE. As an experienced non-profit leader, funder, community service manager, instructor, and consultant, Kris has worked with hundreds of leaders and organizations to adapt and deepen their capacity. Kris is known for his insight, quiet leadership, thoughtful eloquence, ability to build relationships quickly and authentically, and skill for balancing adaptive change with intentional process.

Kris will explore three shifts in nonprofit leadership/management to consider for a changing and challenging environment: from periodic strategic planning to ongoing strategy management, from transactional relationships to stakeholder engagement from start to finish, and from individual programs to integrated services and collaborative networks, to sustain mission performance.

Register, mark your calendars now to kick start 2022!

All those who register will receive a follow up email with zoom link for the sessions.
