Education Day for Mental Health and Addictions Frontline Service Providers
Wed, 3 May 2017, 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM EDT
Education Day is a free, full-day, annual event taking place on May 3rd during CMHA's Mental Health Week. The day will offer a chance for networking, receiving program updates, and learning about new initiatives in the mental health and addictions sector in Nipissing District.
Registration will begin at 8:15am. Lunch and light snacks will be provided. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions.
The Education Day Planning Partnership has developed an exciting and packed agenda thanks to the many community organizations who are willing to share their work with us that day.
A variety of topics will be covered including: residential and non-residential addiction treatment services, peer-led mental health programs, early intervention psychosis, postpartum mood disorder, seniors' mental health, housing and social assistance programs, Common Referral process, harm reduction and addiction stigma, and harm reduction strategies related to casino gambling.
