Rotating Workshops

Each Full Program Registrant will be able to take part in three (3) 2-hour workshops out of five (5) available topics. Please note that all workshops are subject to a capacity limit. After registering for the Full or Half program, you will receive an email to select your preferred workshops.

  • The Ins and Outs of Intermittent and Indwelling Catheterization - led by Laura Robbs, RN, MN, WOCC(C), NCA
  • Compression Therapy: Best Practice Management - led by Theresa Henderson,  RN, BScN, NSWOC,  President of Partners in Community Nursing
  • Diabetic Foot: Best Practice Management and Offloading Strategies - led by Susan Chandler, RN MClScWH, NSWOC
  • Negative Pressure Wound Therapy - led by Rose Raizman, RN-EC, PHCNP, NSWOC, WOCC (C), MSc, MScN

Workshop Host Bios

Theresa Henderson, RN, BScN, ET, NSWOCC, President

Theresa has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University. She is a Enterostomal Therapy (ET) nurse trained at the Cleveland Clinic and certified with the Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapy. Theresa provides wound, ostomy, and continence care consultation in a variety of settings such as Lakeridge Health, Durham Region, schools and Central East LHIN. Theresa started PCN in 1998 with three other RNs to provide a work environment for other nurses to excel at what they do best. She is also involved in contract negotiations and public relations at PICN.

Stephanie Chadwick, NP-PHC, NSWOCC

Stephanie is employed at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as an NP with a primary focus evolving from holistic management of the oncology ostomy patient to complex wound care, and most recently bridging into thermal injury within the burn clinic.

Stephanie co-chairs the Wound Ostomy Continence Program and participates as a board member for Ontario Cancer Research Ethics Board.

Stephanie has participated at conferences presenting on radiation dermatitis, skin cancer, malignant wounds, ostomy, and continence.

Stephanie has volunteered as preceptor and mentor for many students transitioning through wound, ostomy, and continence courses.

Laura Robbs, RN, MN, WOCC(C), NCA

has been a registered nurse for over 35 years. For almost 20 years Laura has specialized in continence-related nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a hospital and continence clinic setting seeing patients with bladder and/or bowel issues. Laura currently is working within a urology practice setting seeing patients with continence issues, prostate/bladder cancer, and erectile dysfunction. Laura is also the lead for the Continence Program for the Canadian Wound Ostomy Continence Institute. Laura has completed a Master of Nursing degree and is a certified NSWOC.
