EENet is seeking applications from communities of interest (CoIs) that are doing work in the area of mental health and addictions. Applications will be accepted until November 13, 2015.

What is a CoI?
A CoI brings together people who share a common interest to develop and spread new knowledge that will improve understanding and action around an issue.

Who should apply?

  • Are you a group focused on issues relating to the mental and addictions system in Ontario? Or are you thinking of forming such a group?
  • Are you seeking support relating to knowledge exchange and connection to larger networks?

What are the selection criteria?

CoIs should meet all of the following criteria:

  • Address knowledge gaps related to mental health and addictions in Ontario
  • Align with EENet mandate and provinicial priorities
  • Stated two year commitment to COI process

What support will EENet provide?

Knowledge brokers and in-kind supports to help: 

  • Create and implement a knowledge exchange plan
  • Identify and synthesize evidence
  • Plan and support virtual and in-person events
  • Develop knowledge products

The Evidence Exchange Network (EENet)

The Evidence Exchange Network (EENet) connects mental health and addictions stakeholders across Ontario. The network promotes the use of evidence in decision making, develops targeted knowledge translation products and tools, and supports interactive exchanges. For more information visit
The International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL) is a unique international collaborative that focuses on improving mental health and addictions services. IIMHL is a collaboration of eight countries: Australia, England, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, USA, and Sweden.

IIMHL organises systems for international innovation sharing, networking and problem-solving across countries and agencies. The overall aim is to provide better outcomes for people who use mental health and addiction services and their families.
