Presented by London Economic Development Corporation and Fanshawe Corporate Training Solutions

Looking for new ways you can get your employees engaged in the workplace? Engaged employees are more productive, customer-focused, and results-oriented, which ultimately increases retention. Learn how to use leadership techniques that encourage employees to contribute more, adapt quickly to everyday change and stress, and maintain highly productive working relationships.

Participants will:

  • Methods to support professional development and happiness




Targeted to small-to-medium sized London, Ontario business operators/managers. Priority sectors include Digital Creative, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Health and Life Sciences.

This session has been generously sponsored by the London Economic Development Corporation for LEDC client company representatives. It is important that if you register, you do attend. A no-show fee of $200 will be charged to registrants who do not attend.

James Todd Biography

James Todd is a leader and a management professional who now teaches the next generation of leaders and innovators. He came to teaching from a +20 year career as a manager, as an advisor to leaders and as a leader. He brings direct leadership experience in the for-profit, public, non-profit and political sectors, with a focus on personal and organizational communications. For 10 years, James led a boutique consulting agency serving clients from the largest businesses on the planet to the smallest startups imaginable.

Since 2005, James has been teaching in large Ontario colleges like Mohawk, Durham, St. Clair and Fanshawe, as well as Olds College in Calgary. His teaching has focused in two areas: mainstream leadership and management courses such as leadership, management, marketing, HR and organizational development; and in the area of interpersonal skills in for leadership such as group dynamics, human relations, negotiation, and presentation skills. James is an engaging classroom animator who designs classroom experiences that reveal the core ideas and the relevant applications of curriculum topics.

He holds an undergraduate degree in the Arts from the University of Waterloo; an MSc degree in Administration from Central Michigan University focused on leadership topics such as communications, conflict management, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence and human relations; and a certificate in instructional skills from Olds College, AB. As a lifelong learner, James has completed additional training and study in a host of management topics and especially in teaching and presentation skills, and in topics such as Millennial learners, learning management systems, and curriculum design. James is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and speaks to business audiences on the subjects of creativity and innovation.

In his current role, James facilitates seminar-style and blended online learning experiences in both the Business and Leadership areas, focused on programs for frontline supervisors, emerging leaders and evolving leaders, as well as individual courses in emotional intelligence, training technique, and oral presentation.
