About this Event

Please join us for an Elder Mediation Information Night with Sally Morgan of Vive Mediation Inc.

During this event, Sally will be providing more information on elder mediation, if it is right for you and your family as well as the benefits of using a mediator. We are excited to announce that we have a special guest speaker, Mary-Anne Popescu, Executive Director for The Ontario Association for Family Mediators talking about the opportunities that Elder Mediation offers families.

At Vive! Mediation we are passionate about people and relationships. Yes, we are peacemakers. Yes, we are neutral, third-party Mediators. But, what we do, is help people better understand how to communicate and relate to others.

FAQ about Elder Mediation:

What are some of the issues an Elder Mediator can support you with:

  • Parental living arrangements
  • Housing and living arrangements
  • Estate and retirement planning
  • Guardianship
  • Family and new relationships
  • Family business concerns
  • Healthcare and medical decision making
  • Caregiver responsibility
  • Long-term care
  • Disputes involving Care Homes
  • Sale of a family home
  • End-of-life issues

Why choose an Elder Mediator?

Unlike other forms of mediation, Elder Mediation can:

  • Have a preventative component if referred prior to conflict developing.
  • Create support for an older person facing physical or mental health changes, as well as their caregiver.
  • Improve the quality of life for the elder and caregiver and prevent abuse or conflict later on.
  • Prepare family members for changes their loved ones will be going through.
  • Encourage the creation of a plan for future needs.
