This non-partisan town hall on current proposals for the reform of Canada's electoral system is being organized by the Huron-Bruce Federal Liberals. The purpose of the event is to allow people to hear from a non-partisan expert on the subject - in this case Western University political science professor Laura Stephenson - to gain a better understanding of the options on the table, to ask some questions and then to have a discussion. Participants will break up into small groups so that everyone gets a chance to be heard and all of your input can be recorded. Then we'll have a quick round up of some of the key points raised. We are making a special point to reach out to young people for this event, inviting high school students from across Huron County to attend. Closer to the date of the event we will follow up with those who have registered to attend and send out links to some of the background information on electoral reform that will be useful to read ahead of time.
