Event description

Description

In 1934 Elsie Perrin Williams willed her beautiful 68 country estate and its Spanish Colonial revival house (built in 1917) to the City of London. From 1984 to the present the house has been used as a Special Event venue operated by Heritage London Foundation, with many of its furnishings stored in the attic or housed at Museum London.

Come and see the house as we turn it back as far as possible into what it might have been like in Elsie’s time. Learn the story of the Williams and their legacy, the controversy over Elsie’s will, the history of the house and grounds. Take a guided tour of the house and attend some very special programming designed to focus on the era of the First World War and to reflect on Canada’s 150th birthday.

Tours for groups can be arranged in the mornings. Morning Coffee or afternoon tea is available by reservation only: Call 519-432-6620 to reserve.
