First Aid saves lives and knowing what to do will help avoid panic in an emergency.


First aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and/or promote recovery. It includes initial intervention in a serious condition prior to professional medical help being available, such as performing CPR while awaiting an ambulance, as well as the complete treatment of minor conditions, such as applying a plaster to a cut.


An employer must ensure that the first aiders at a work site have successfully completed a first aid training course approved by a Director of Medical Services and hold a valid certificate in First Aid.


Although work practices continue to improve, accidents still occur. Providing First Aid to an injured person in a timely fashion Injuries are a significant public health problem and are the leading cause of death in Canada for those aged 1-44.

This is a comprehensive 2-day course, that offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for work requirements or for those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.


This course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. We exceed competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.
