Build your coaching skills to enhance your personal and professional development, and gain a deeper understanding of how taking a "coach approach" can yield better leadership results.

In this 1-day workshop for individuals, leaders, and managers in organizations seeking to understand and implement Emotional Intelligence (EI). Participants will explore their own emotional intelligence, and enhance awareness of their emotional attributes through a 1:1 executive coaching session.

Gain practical knowledge about how emotional intelligence influences your leadership and coaching and how that can be used to enhance working relations and productivity. This workshop allows you to practice essential coaching skills in an open and receptive environment.

Workshop participants can expect to walk away with resources to incite action by learning:

  • Why emotional intelligence is a predictor of success,

  • How emotional intelligence influences coaching and

  • Skills to effect an engaging coaching conversation.

Who are the facilitators?

Janice Gair, CEC, ACC, CPHR

Janice is an executive with over two decades of experience working in corporate strategy, operations and human resources at an international level. She is an executive coach working within business and academia to provide individual and team coaching services, emotional intelligence and coach skills training. She helps her clients focus forward. She is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC), Royal Roads University, who has achieved the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation through the International Coaching Federation. She is a Master EQ-i Trainer, holds a B.A. (Administration), University of Winnipeg and the Certified Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) designation.

Hayley Hesseln, PhD, CEC

Dr. Hayley Hesseln has dedicated her 20-year career as a university professor to teaching and learning. She is an economist and professor at the University of Saskatchewan. Collaborating with Janice Gair on coaching education, they transition people and organizations to excel, take decisions and hold themselves capable. Launching individuals and organizations to maximize their potential is what they do. Hayley is an alumnus of the Royal Roads University Executive Coaching program in Victoria, BC, Canada, Master EQ-i Trainer, and Member of the International Coaching Federation.

Is there parking?

Training will take place at the lovely new space available through Pulford Community Living Services Inc., 5-1146 Waverley Street, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0P4. There is complimentary parking. The meeting space is situated near a lovely residential area good for walking during the lunch break.

What can I bring into the event?

Feel free to bring your water bottle and whatever else may make you feel comfortable for the day.
