Workshop description

As organizations redraw along project lines and employment becomes more transactional, working professionals need a broader range of skills to draw upon than the technical competencies that previously sustained them. Employers expect their workers at all levels to demonstrate leadership and resilience even in the face of overwhelming change.

We designed this intensive two-day workshop specifically with project professionals in mind. Our program places importance on developing adequate awareness to recognize and manage strong emotions in self and in others. We draw upon time-proven techniques from the realms of clinical psychology, law enforcement, biology and mathematics to teach participants how to extract facts and retain logic even under extremely stressful conditions.

Two days of evidence-backed training aligning the latest emotion and social competency theory with the Project Management Institute's Competency Development Framework (PMCDF).

Participants will learn critical leadership skills that improve emotional acuity (the ability to perceive emotions in self and others) as well as emotional tolerance (the ability to manage increasing amounts of change and stress).

Lessons are applicable immediately after completing the training.

"Emotional Intelligence Training for Project Professionals" was designed by a certified former senior project manager with graduate level training in psychology.
