The updated Wage Subsidy Program includes these features:

• The program is for hiring full-time, permanent employees.
• It covers a percentage of the employees wage, for a duration of up to 24 weeks.
• It is open to all unemployed individuals eligible to work in BC.
• There are expanded subsidies for priority groups ( e.g. Youth aged 16-30; Individuals with disabilities).

Please note: The new hire will not be eligible for WorkBC Wage Subsidy if employment starts before the Wage Subsidy contract is signed.
