Newcomers and immigrants to Canada are the future of the Canadian labour force, bringing advanced education, global versatility, adaptability, multilingualism, and a drive to succeed. The Employment Opportunity Exchange moves beyond a traditional job fair and offers accessible and inclusive opportunities for prospective employers and newcomers and immigrants to Canada to personally connect to break down barriers, address misconceptions, discover each other’s assets and build relationships that lead to meaningful and sustainable employment in our community. The EOE event is open to all newcomers and immigrants to Canada and to actively recruiting employers interested in growing their cultural competencies and learning how to support a workplace of inclusion and diversity.

Co-hosted by Here Magazine, Construction Foundation of British Columbia, Your Entrepreneurial Society, and Comfort Inn and Suites

We respectfully acknowledge the unceded traditional territories of the Lekwungen speaking peoples on whose land we live, work, and play, and are committed to strengthening relationships between newcomer and Indigenous communities through cultural education and dialogue.
