Join us for a morning of networking, learning and inspiration in support of our scholarship program for young women in Halton Hills #IWD2021

About this Event

Cornerstone Women's Network is excited to host our first virtual event honouring International Women's Day 2021.

The proceeds from this event benefit The Valerie Bloomfield Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, sponsored by the Cornerstone Women’s Network. This award is given to three female recipients who are passionate about business, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are pursuing a post secondary education. The students are selected from Georgetown District High School, Christ The King Catholic Secondary School and Acton District High School.

FRIDAY MARCH 5TH 2021

8:30 am - ZOOM Link is open.

8:45 am – Opening Introduction to the day by Kari-Anne Veldman: Chair of Cornerstone Women's Network and Owner of Indaba Hair Studio

8:50 am – Andrea Hadlington: The Valerie Bloomfield Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.

9:00 am – Elizabeth Naumovski : Host of Finance is Personal & award winning Financial Literacy Advocate.

Elizabeth tells us why finance is "PERSONAL" to her. Join Liz as she discusses several topics from the impact of COVID-19 on Canadian women to making frugality fashionable while living a needs vs. wants lifestyle, the dangers behind living a FOMO or YOLO lifestyle , the importance of "empowered women, empowering women" , and so much more ...

9:45 am - Jeannine d'Entremont , Yoga Instructor & Entrepreneur

In this 15-minute stretch and mini yoga session Jeannine will equip you with some special and simple stretches to implement into your day. If you are working from home or finding stress in everyday life this is the session for you!

10:00 am- Dr. Cathy Kuindersma, ND: Author of "Eat Your Best Life" & Owner/Operator of Georgetown Naturopathic Wellness Centre

Join Dr. Cathy Kuindersma, ND for a discussion about the importance of Brain Health for Women. Dr. Kuindersma will help identify risk factors that can lead to later issues like Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases and provide some clarity on preventative measures. Cathy will explain that by focusing on brain health in early adulthood , we can be empowered to lead our best lives longer!!

10:45 am – Cassidy Rae Woerlein: Stylist & Co-owner of Indaba Hair Studios

"To Cut COVID Bangs , or Not To Cut COVID Bangs .. That is the question" Join Cassidy as she walks us through the proper way to trim your bangs at home.

11:30 – Jenny Shearman: Personal Chef & Owner of My Sweet Beet,

Jenny is a Personal Chef and created My Sweet Beet to help hard working people take control of their dinner dilemmas and take the stress out of their mealtimes. Join her Demo as she shows us how to prepare a healthy, delicious ,15 minute meal during this special International Women's Day event.

**Attendees will be emailed the ingredient list/ recipe after purchase of their ticket so that they can cook along with Jenny.**
