This year's conference will focus on social isolation, poverty, and age-friendly communities. Keynote speaker Dr. Parminder Raina will speak to these themes as he shares findings from the Canadian Longitudinal Study of Aging.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is limited parking at the hospital and it is reserved for this who require accessible parking.

Parking for the conference is available at "no cost" to attendees providing you park at St. Lawrence College (SLC) at 100 Portsmouth Avenue.  Your email address will be provided to SLC and your will be contacted by them prior to the actual day of the conference. St. Lawrence College is directly across from the hospital entrance off Portsmouth and is available for the day as the hospital parking is reserved  for patients and the staff caring for them. Arrangements have been made (again for free) with AMEY’S TAXI to be on standby to take people to and from the conference venue. (0745-0820 AM and 430 PM), you will be required to car pool.

The Centre for Studies in Aging & Health at Providence Care Centre, Kingston

CSAH’s  mandate is to work in collaboration with both internal and external partners, to build knowledge, awareness and system capacity to promote successful aging, prevent or delay the expression of frailty and its harmful consequences and to improve care by supporting transformation in the organization of health services. CSAH  plays a leadership role in multiple ongoing research and KTE projects and activities and we have established a number of collaborative partnerships with other research and innovation organizations in aging and health across Ontario. Currently we are actively engaged in as Age Friendly Communities Outreach Program.
