ABOUT THE EVENT
Named the World’s Top City Garden by National Geographic, voted Garden of the Year 2012 by the Garden Tourism Council of Canada and awarded ‘Places that Matter’ status by the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is truly a place of urban zen.
Beginning with a launch on Friday, July 11th, and continuing on Thursday nights from July 17th to August 7th, the Garden becomes THE place to go to for an exclusive evening of fine foods and incredible live music. The concerts will run from 8:00pm to 9:30pm, with a 15 minute intermission.
This year the Garden will be closing early and will be open exclusively to concert guests from 7pm onwards. Come early to enjoy deluxe dinners, wine, cocktails and other delicious treats as you relax in the beautiful sunset Garden, and then be blown away by our exciting line up of performers.
Gourmet picnic dinners can be pre-ordered to enjoy in the Garden before the concert begins. There is a wonderful selection of vegan, vegetarian, seafood, and meat options catered by Emelle's Catering and ranging in price from $10-$29. However, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and other snacks will be available for purchase at the concert.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden
Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a non-profit organization and cultural hub, passionate about connecting cultures and communities through tours, festivals, live music, art exhibits, education and wellness programs. Located in Vancouver’s Chinatown, it is the first full-scale classical Chinese garden built outside of China. It serves as a bridge between cultures and communities and is a recognized top attraction and museum for Vancouver, Chinatown and the Downtown Eastside. Visitors and local residents share cultural experiences which lead to greater cross-cultural understanding. The Garden is a living museum of culture, art, history and traditions, enhanced by active programming, such as interpretative tours, performances, art exhibits, horticultural displays, cultural demonstrations & readings, lectures and celebration of Chinese festivals.
