Event description
Another chance to enjoy this one-of-a-kind digital presentation featuring Vivaldi Chamber Choir’s LIVE recording of the Canadian Premiere.

About this event

“Florence Nightingale,” sculpted by the late David Edstrom and funded by the Federal Art Project of the WPA, 1937. Located at Laguna Honda Hospital, San Francisco CA. Photo: Barbara Bernstein, www.NewDealArtRegistry.org.

By popular demand, we bring you an ENCORE Presentation of this very special production. The perfect gift - to be enjoyed any time between May 7-17!

Let’s celebrate! Mother and Father figures in our lives... families... health!

We celebrate the resilience of humanity to continuously adapt and adjust in order to stay healthy and safe. We celebrate the creativity of performing artists in finding ways to share their passions and thereby feed our souls.

We celebrate the dedicated Healthcare Workers at every level who have gone so far “above and beyond the call of duty” to care for our sick and dying - we celebrate their sacrifice and their compassion.

It is to every Healthcare Worker that we dedicate this extraordinary digital production.

In the spring of 2017, Vivaldi Chamber Choir had the great privilege to perform the Canadian Premiere of Sir Arthur Sullivan’s Festival Te Deum. A glorious work that features a spectacular soprano soloist and full orchestra, the choir relished the opportunity to fall in love with this rarely programmed gem.

Using the lovingly remastered live recording from 2017, we have created a digital storytelling of sorts - one that connects history with the present, that celebrates the majesty of the music and our province, and that commemorates the resilience of families and Health Care Workers.

This is an unique opportunity for audiences around the world:

  • to enjoy a professional audio recording of a Canadian premiere performance
  • to see an original digital presentation of images weaving the story of and behind the music and words
  • to purchase the audio-only remastered live recording as a beautiful souvenir

There has never been an experience like this.

Born of the resilience of humanity from the Victorian era to today, we hope this digital production of Sullivan’s Festival Te Deum will move and inspire you.

Our gift to our Healthcare Workers: free access to this digital performance, with our heartfelt thanks - contact the organizer to arrange your access
