Event description

Description

Talking about death and dying is something most of society find difficult. It involves conversations with family, friends, carers and professionals, about how we would like to be cared for at the end of our lives.

Now imagine this situation with someone who is homeless. Those who are homeless may already have difficulty accessing mainstream services, have more complex needs, or be less willing to engage with professionals. This talk aims to give an insight into end of life care provisions for the homeless.

Our Speakers:

Suzie Doe, Practice Development Facilitator at St Ann's Hospice

The purpose of St Ann's Hospice is to provide excellent care and support to people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses.

Roz Hughes, Specialist Nurse at Urban Village Medical Practice

Urban Village provides a comprehensive healthcare service for homeless people in Manchester.
