Endless Abilities Movie Screening and Imagining Inclusion Photo Exhibit
Event Information
Description
Imagining Inclusion is a 2-year community-based participatory research partnership between the Therapeutic Recreation Department at Douglas College and the thrive program at Open Door Group Services Society. In this project we examined community inclusion, health and well-being for individuals with lived experience of mental illness. The Research Team and participants are pleased to present the research findings through a Photovoice exhibit.
Following the exhibit will be a screening of the movie Endless Abilities, which follows the journey of four best friends who drove across the country in search of adaptive sports for individuals with physical disabilities. After the movie is a presentation by the film's crew which will include workshops, personal anecdotes, and news from the front of the disability civil rights movement.
