About this event
Welcome the holiday season with the CIC National Capital Branch's Politics @ the Pub!
As countries around the world prepare for a harsh, cold winter ahead, energy security is top of mind for key leaders. Recent global events, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, have only exacerbated the rush to consolidate the demand for non-renewables with the global commitments to clean energy. As climate change remains a global priority, the demand for reliable and dependable energy remains high. Leveraging green energy, while recognizing the remaining importance of fossil fuels, will be an imperative consideration in the crisis ahead.
This event will highlight some of the most pressing challenges for the future of energy security, including Canada’s role as a provider and the perspectives of the transitioning resource sector.
