Participants will also hear directly from The Canadian Muslim Vote on running a succesful door to door voter engagement campaign and the key to mobilizing communties with shared backgrounds and experiences.

Registration begins 8:30 am. Session begins 9:00 am. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Vote PopUps are simulated polling places run by community organizations and local civic leaders. They help build an inclusive and vibrant democracy in Canada by:
1) demystifying the voting process;
2) connecting people’s concerns and hopes to an election; and
3) building a culture of engagement.

The Canadian-Muslim Vote is a grassroots and non-partisan organization that educates the Canadian Muslim community on opportunities of civic engagement. The organization was founded based on our strong belief in the Canadian democratic process and because we feel it is important that all Canadians - Muslims included - stay informed on the political process at all levels of government to make a positive difference in Canadian democracy.
