Event description

Description

Are Canadians too polite? If you are a non-native speaker of English living in Toronto, you may notice that native English speakers rarely, if ever, give feedback on how to improve your English.

Without this feedback, it is harder to identify weaknesses in your English and you may continue to make the same mistakes, over and over again. These mistakes can not only affect your work performance, but also significantly limit your ability to expand your business and personal networks.

WE CAN HELP

At Embodied English, we focus on key concepts commonly ignored by most ESL courses: accent refinement, vocal training, body language, Canadian humour/sarcasm, and more. This workshop will address some of the most common mistakes made by advanced learners of English.

Included in the workshop, is a 15 minute 1-on-1 assessment with a professional speech coach so you can get the crucial feedback that you need to reach the next level in your English!

Coffee and snacks will be served at 10am, and the workshop will start 10:30am.

Seating is very limited so book your seat while you can.

See you there!

Facilitators: Dr. Art Babayants (University of Toronto, TDSB, Toronto Laboratory Theatre) and Suzanne Taylor (TDSB)
