Enough for All Living Library: A Community Conversation
Event Information
Description
Join Vibrant Communities Calgary for our final Community Conversation of 2016. This is one you will not want to miss! You may have heard we are also hosting the official launch of our Enough for All public awareness campaign the same day. This Community Conversation will follow over the lunch hour.
In Calgary, we LOVE our libraries, but this one is a little different. Instead of paper books (or e-books, if you prefer!) we will have living books. Real people, all contributors to Enough for All, Calgary's poverty reduction strategy, who can answer your questions about all sorts of things ranging from social and policy change, Indigenous ways of knowing, community economic development, experiences of living in poverty, the justice system, and more! We'll share with you our roster of "books" as the date approaches.
Come for lunch (our treat!), stay for the conversation, and get connected to the people who are helping to reduce poverty in their community and city every day.

I’m intrigued, but what's Enough for All? Enough for All is Calgary's poverty reduction strategy. Its goal is to cut Calgary's poverty rates in half by 2023. Learn more about work related to the strategy here.
Sounds like a big job! It is a BIG undertaking, and we couldn't do it alone. That's why we support over 200 stakeholders to advance their little piece of the poverty reduction puzzle. This is your chance to meet some of those people, and learn how you can be a part of it!
