Join us for a casual get-together over drinks and food at The Victory Cafe. The night begins with a casual table talk from a social entrepreneur followed by informal networking in small, facilitated groups. You'll get to meet and learn from fellow social entrepreneurs and innovators who are doing their part to make Toronto (and beyond) great.
This month, our spotlight is on Jazzmine Lawton Raine. Jazzmine joins us to share her journey into social entrepreneurship, and how founding the non-profit The Raine Network led her to finding non-conventional and impactful opportunities in this space. You'll also discover interesting projects and opportunities to get involved.
Always working up a storm or two with her strategic-focused mind and a love for creative social innovation, Jazzmine found her self in the midst of the social enterprise industry before it was even a "thing". After starting her own non-profit in 2010, Jazzmine quickly used her community to network with NGOs, non-profits and charitable organizations worldwide, which led her to working in different countries throughout Asia and Africa on projects that focused on social entrepreneurship, and micro finance, as well as marketing and event management in the non-profit sector.
With a background in corporate and social event management, and professional and creative writing, Jazzmine was easily able to freelance her skills to multiple community initiatives implemented by organizations such as G-Roots, EduCARE India, Humanity Unified and socially focused companies including Causeartist and Studio.89. You'll often find Jazzmine on her laptop while on the phone, laughing very loudly at her own jokes, and coming up with new ways to connect people, integrate social good into just about everything, and writing up a blog post for her last sustainable travel adventure whether overseas or through the U.S.A!

We've added the casual table talk at the start of the event. We'll also have go-to people/table facilitators available to ensure everyone is getting value out of the informal networking conversations.
Will you be serving food or drinks? Are there vegetarian/vegan options available?
You can order food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at the restaurant. Please bring your own cash/credit to pay for your meal. There are several vegetarian and a few vegan options. The full menu is available here: http://victorycafe.ca
I can't make it by 6PM. Is it okay if I arrive late?
Yes! However, if you cannot make it by 7PM, we ask that you wait and attend next month's event instead. Our group is small and it can be disruptive if there are constantly new people arriving. Thanks for understanding!
What happens if I registered but can no longer attend?
