About this event
Are you curious to learn more about entrepreneurship opportunities; how to build your business, finding support networks and uncovering resources on UBC campus, but are unsure where to start?
Join us Monday, January 17th for our Info Session as part of our ‘Open House Week’ to meet members of our team and partners from across the University of British Columbia to understand how you can transform your startup idea to impact.
You will hear from our Venture Founder CORE and Lab2Launch leads on what these programs entail and meet our partners from the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) and the University-Industry Liaison Office (UILO) to learn how you can translate your work and research into a viable venture opportunity.
Plus, we will be giving you the inside scoop on internship opportunities with entrepreneurship@UBC, sharing how ventures work with interns and the professional development opportunities for students working as interns within our venture portfolio.
During this event you will:
- Learn how you can get involved with entrepreneurship@UBC, Venture Founder CORE and Lab2Launch; who is eligible and how to take the next step (applications close January 28!)
- Hear from some of our partners across the UBC landscape on the many pathways to entrepreneurship
- Meet interns who’ve worked with our Venture teams and how they’ve leveraged their experience into career building opportunities
- Ask your questions directly to our team in casual breakout rooms; learn if Venture Founder is right for you, and what you get as a founder in our community
