Part of the Innovation UBC network, entrepreneurship@UBC supports UBC ventures and entrepreneurs to generate social and economic impacts in B.C. and around the world. To date, entrepreneurship@UBC ventures have raised more than $221 million in funding, generated more than $30 million in revenue, stimulating the economic and social landscape of B.C. while building anchor companies that have a global impact.
About The HATCH Accelerator
The HATCH Accelerator lives at the nexus of venture acceleration, maker-spaces and labs, and forms a robust interdisciplinary network across UBC. Initially a collaboration between entrepreneurship@UBC and the Institute for Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS), it has expanded to form a diverse network that includes other leading edge innovation centres within the UBC ecosystem.
The HATCH Accelerator program helps ventures who have achieved early traction and are now ready to scale. As the founding partner of this multidisciplinary approach, ICICS champions collaboration, interdisciplinary research and innovation to solve the world’s most imminent problems. entrepreneurship@UBC is the funnel for venture creation at UBC, forming a hotbed of research and student innovation driven by an industry network of expertise in company building and subject matter experts. From idea testing to executive team formation and fundraising, entrepreneurship@UBC forms a rich pipeline of Seed Stage ventures who later become the anchor companies in BC’s dynamic technology ecosystem.
