This year, with support from the University of Ottawa, three local environmental education groups (Maison Tucker House, SEED Educators, and CanaDiana UnlimiTed) are coming together to educate and work with teacher candidates on becoming stronger, more confident environmental educators throughout the B.Ed. program. Teachers working in Ottawa will also be invited to attend to further their own learning and connect with B.Ed candidates.
Our second networking session will take place on October 17th in LMX 451 from 5:30 - 7. This months theme will be Outdoor Education. We will a guest presenter from the outdoor ed. field, and provide you with tips and tricks for taking your class outside! We may try and go outside for part of this session so please make sure you arrive on time. Light snacks will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own food. If you are able to attend please register below.
Regular sessions will run for 1.5 hours about once a month from 5:30 - 7. These will include experts and guest presentations, discussions, and resources on environmental education themes, followed by time for networking among students and teachers in the field.
